Pork Spareribs in Crockpot

2 - 3 lbs pork ribs boneless or bone-in
1 - 2 bottles of favorite barbeque sauce
1 medium onion - sliced
garlic pepper

Spray 4 - 5 quart casserole with cooking spray. Slice onion and put on
bottom of crockpot. Season ribs with garlic pepper. Add ribs then pour
barbeque sauce over ribs. cover and coook on low 8- 10 hrs. Enjoy

Taco Bean Soup

1 lb bulk pork sausage
1 lb ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
4 cups water
2 cans 16 oz each...kidney beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans 15 ozs. each pinto beans, rinsed and drained
2 cans 15 ozs each garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
2 can 14 12/2 oz stewed tomatoes
2 cans 14 1/2 oz Mexican diced tomatoes, undrained
1 jar 16 ozs chunky salsa
sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and sliced ripe olives

Brown sausage and beef over medium heat until no longer pink. drain.
Add taco seasoning and mix well. Stir in water, beans, tomatoes and
salsa. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. simmer uncovered, 30 min or until
heated through, stirring occasionally. garnish with sour cream, cheese
and olives. Tastes even better the second day.

Corn Chowder
Karen Lott, Hellertown

In a soup kettle:
4 strips bacon
dice and saute 10 min.
1 lg onion
3 celery stalks
4-5 potatoes

Add:
1 cup water
Simmer until veggies are tender

Stir in:
3 cans creamed corn
1 cn whole corn
Quart of half and half

Season with:
1 T basil
1 T parsley
1/4 tsp pepper
simmer for 20 minutes.

Apple Crisp

5 medium tart apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
1 cup cold butter
1 cup water
3/4 tsp cinnamon

in a bowl, combine the apples, 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. Tansfer to a greased 8" square baking dish.

Topping:

In a small bowl combine the flour baking powder salt and 1 cup sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over apples, pressing down to smooth top. Slowly pour water over the top..sprinkle with 3/4 tsp cinnamon.

Bake uncovered at 400 for 40 - 45 min or until apples are tender. Serve warm.. Serves 8.

Sweet and Salty Candy

2 cups thin pretzel sticks
1 cup dry roasted peanuts (salted)
*1 lb white chocolate

Break pretzel sticks into small pieces. Melt white chocolate. Mix pretzels, nuts and chocolate together in large bowl.

Line jelly roll pan with waxed paper. Spread mixture onto pan to edges. Let air dry 2 hours. Break into ieces, store in cool dry place.

*chocolate can be purchased at candy supply store
